Ingredients

    2 medium Granny Smith apples
    2 cans reduced fat crescent rolls
    1 stick of butter
    1c Splenda
    1T Vanilla extract
    8oz (approx) Diet Mt. Dew
    Cinnamon to sprinkle

Tips

Wonderful recipe & very easy to half for smaller gatherings.......although, they go pretty quick regardless! They are wonderful served warm, cold, with frozen yogurt or ice cream, with whipped cream or just about any other way you can imagine.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350°, spray 13x9 pan with cooking spray. Cut each apple into 8 wedges, wrap each wedge in a crescent roll and place each roll in prepared pan. In a bowl in the microwave, melt butter, sugar & vanilla together. Mix well. Pour the butter & sugar mixture over all the dumplings then pour Mt Dew over all (until liquid is about halfway up the sides of the dumplings). Sprinkle consumin cinnamon over all the dumplings. Bake @ 350° for about 30 minutes or until golden & juices are bubbling.
