Introduction

Yummy, full of protein and fiber, no butter or refined sugar! Yummy, full of protein and fiber, no butter or refined sugar!
Number of Servings: 18

Ingredients

    4 cups dry oats
    4T flaxseed
100g fruit puree (or 1 banana mashed smooth)
    6T peanut butter
    16T honey

Tips

Don't be tempted to eat them warm, as they will firm up as they cool and will fall apart when warm. Great to make with the kids! Would also work with other nut butters, and you can play with using less honey.

Directions

Combine all ingredients except oats and flax in a saucepan and melt them together until runny. In a bowl, mix oats and flax. Once liquid is runny, pour over the oats and mix well until it's well-combined. Flatten mixture in a 10x8 (or other rectangular) pan prepped with pan spray and bake at 350F or 180C until toasted golden brown on top. Slice into squares once cooled.
