    self rising corn meal 2 cups
    almond milk - any kind or flavor will do!

    (I find the vanilla to be a nice combo with the corn, but not too sweet you can't still eat it with a savory soup)


You can add to your pan 1/2 teaspoon olive oil, non-stick spray, or earth balance butter to your pan prior to help your cakes not stick.


Get a non-stick skillet and heat to medium-high heat. stir both ingredients together. Pour the batter into the pan like you would pancakes. when the bubbles are all popped on the top, flip it over and cook the other side, about 2 minutes. Serve warm with soup or as a side to your meal.

Serving Size: Makes 3-4 medium cornbread cakes
