Ingredients

    1/2 Tbsp canola oil
2 lbs uncooked 93% lean ground beef
    1 large onion, diced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
15 oz Hunts tomato sauce, no salt added
2 cans chili style diced tomatoes
    6 oz light beer
1 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
    1/4 cup chili powder
    1 Tbsp ground cumin
    1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp ground cayenne, or to taste
1 tsp Tabasco, or to taste

Directions

Heat oil in a large dutch oven over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned; drain off any excess fat. Add the onion and garlic to the pot, and cook until tender - about 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and tomatoes. Cook, covered, for 30 minutes.

Remove lid and add the remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and continue to simmer for another hour. If the chili is too thick, add water until desired consistency.
