Ingredients

Tofu, firm or extra firm, 1 block (Frozen then thawed)
    Olive Oil, 2 tsp
BRAGG Liquid Aminos or soy sauce, 1/8 cup
    Worcestershire Sauce, 1/8 cup
Tahini or nut butter, 2 tbsp
    Onion powder, 2 tsp
    Garlic powder, 2 tsp
Other spices, such as cumin, cayenne powder, Italian seasoning, etc. as desired.

Tips

You can crumble tofu that has not be frozen then thawed, but those steps really do improve the texture DRAMATICALLY and I don't recommend it.

You can use any nut butters, or savory liquids, or spices that you like. This is one of those recipes that as long as you stick with the basic ratios, you should be good. Very easy to make vegan as well.

This can also be pan fried, which goes a little faster, but it gets a more meat like texture in the oven.

Directions

*Freeze than thaw tofu.

*Preheat oven to 350.

*Drain tofu and squeeze excess water out just with your hands. Then crumble the tofu.

*Mix together all other ingredients in a bowl and then toss in tofu. Stir together to coat tofu with mixture.

*Grease baking sheet and then spread tofu on sheet in a single layer. Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring tofu halfway through.

*Use in place of ground meat in tacos, enchiladas, spaghetti sauce, soups, chilli, or anything else you can think of.

Serving Size: Six servings.
