Introduction

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    3 Cups Russet Potato Chopped
    1/3 Cup Onion Chopped
    1/3 cup celery chopped
    1/4 cup carrot chopped
    1 cup cooked ham chopped
    3.5 cups chicken stock
    2 cups skim milk
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    salt to taste
    garlic to taste



Tips

This is great garnished with some fried crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, or green onion!


Directions

In a large stock pan add chicken broth, onion, celery, potato, carrot, and ham. cook on medium heat approximately 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are cooked through. In a separate sauce pan, melt butter over medium low heat. Slowly add in flour mixing with a whisk until blended and thick. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until creamy. Continue stirring on medium heat 3-4 minutes until thickened. Add immediately to chicken stock in large pot and mix thoroughly. Heat through and serve!
