Ingredients

    2 slices Whole Grain Bread
    1 egg (or egg substitute, like Braum's)
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 pkt. Splenda sweetener
    canola oil (for cooking, in iron skillet)

Tips

You can wait to add the Splenda after serving for extra touch. Top with maple syrup, honey, preserves or fresh fruit and fat free whipped topping.


Directions

Warm about 1" canola oil in iron skillet (preferably). Cut bread into 3 to 4 strips, dip into mix and deep fry to desired darkness and crispness, about 3 minutes per side. Turn once.
