Introduction

A healthy way to start your morning A healthy way to start your morning
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

Spinach, fresh, 2 cups or 2 large handfuls (I often substitute kale)
    Banana, fresh, 1 medium
Blueberries, frozen (unsweetened), 1 cup, unthawed (I use Costco frozen blueberry/marionberry mix)
Button Mushrooms - 1 large mushroom
    Baby Carrots, raw, 1-2
Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Flax Seed, milled, 1 tbsp
    Pomegranate Juice, 4 oz
Milk, Silk, Coconut, Vanilla, .5 cup

Tips

Drink soon afterwards; it doesn't keep

Directions

Put all ingredients into a Vitamix or other high powered blender and mix on high for about 15-30 seconds until no specs of spinach remain.

I often substitute kale for spinach; add a few strawberries for extra sweetness; and omit mushrooms and carrots if they're not on hand. Keys are greens, banana, frozen berries, juice and coconut milk.
