Ingredients

    1 orange
    4 chicken thighs, bone-in
    2 T molasses
    3 Treduced sodium soy sauce
    2 T rice wine vinegar
1 tsp Sriracha or other hot chilli sauce
    2 stalks celery
    1/2 cup water

Tips

Slow cooker times will vary depending on manufacturer and settings.

Directions

Wash well one orange. Slice off the ends and discard, then slice remaining orange into rounds about 1/3 inch thick. Do not peel! Layer the bottom of slow cooker with orange slices.

Remove skin from four thawed chicken thighs and place bone-up on the orange slices.

Mix all wet ingredients together well. Taste; if it is too spicy for your tastes, add a little more water. Pour the liquid into the slow cooker.

Slice two stalks celery and add on top of chicken.

Cook on high about four hours or low six hours. Tastes great served with rice and stir-fried veggies!
