Ingredients

    6 cups water
    2 cups fat-free milk
    2 cups uncooked steel-cut oats
    1/2 light brown sugar packed
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon vanilla

Tips

Leftovers can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days,. To reheat spoon 1 cup of oatmeal in a microwavable bowl. Microwave for 1-2 minutes stirring once. If needed 1-2 Tablespoons of milk may be added for consistency. Important to use steel cut oats not rolled oats.


Directions

Lightly spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Put the water, milk, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in slow cooker, stirring to combine. Cook covered on low for 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 hours.
