Introduction

Makes 12 delicious apple fritters. Makes 12 delicious apple fritters.

Ingredients

    Heat oil to 365F (185C)

    2 med sized apples, peeled, cored and chopped into small pieces

    1 cup flour

    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

    3 tbsp sugar ( I add a touch of cinnamon into it too)

    1/4 tsp salt

    1/3 cup 1% milk

    1 large egg (well beaten)

    icing sugar to dust after cooking.


Directions

Mix all ingredients in a big bowl.

Drop by spoonfuls into deep fryer. Fry 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Turn during frying if needed. Move fritters to paper towel to drain excess oil.

Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or icing sugar when serving.
