Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    - 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
    - 1 / 4 cup walnuts (can be substituted by almonds)
    - A handful of raisins (can be substituted by dried cranberries)
    - 1 cup white oats
    - 1.5 tablespoons honey
    - 1 apple worth of apple sauce (about 1/4 cup)
    - 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
    - 0.5 teaspoon cocoa powder
    - 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
    - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    - nutmeg
    - cinnamon

Tips

* You can also add half a cup of dark chocolate chips!
* This will turn out needing a bit more sweetness for some, you can always use more honey or sugar to your desire, but not too much, just enough to satisfy that sweet tooth!

Directions

Mix in a bowl the flour, oats, baking soda, sugar, cocoa powder, a sprinkle of nutmeg and about half a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Make a hole in the dry mixture and add the apple sauce ( I made homemade apple sauce) , the honey and the vanilla extract.

Mix the ingredients together. I used my hand for this one because the dough is quite stiff and hard.

After you have the stiff but sticky dough, add the raisins and walnuts ( or any other substitute you decide to use) and mix well.

Preheat over to 180ºC.
Line the tray with non stick baking sheets and add 1 tablespoon of the dough per cookie, making sure to spread the dough since it will expand while cooking.

Cook for about 8 minutes till the bottom is golden brown and the top is still soft. Let the cookies cool down for a couple of minutes and store.

Enjoy your extremely low cal oat cookies!
