Ingredients

    4 slices bacon or Pancetta chopped
    1/2 onion chopped
    1 clove garlic crushed and diced
    4 cups chicken broth
    2 cups water
    2 cans cannellini beans
    1 can Italian style chopped tomatoes
    3 cups of uncooked ditalini or small round pasta
    tablespoon of italian herbs
    dash of crushed red pepper
    splash of red wine of choice



Tips

taste after simmering to see if you need to add salt and pepper


Directions

render chopped bacon, saute' onions and garlic until onions are translucent.
add chicken broth, water, tomatoes and beans. bring to boil
add crushed herbs and splash of wine
reduce heat and simmer for at least 20 min to bring flavours together.
add pasta and cook till pasta is soft and doubles in size.
