Introduction

A Ketogenic diet is more of a lifestyle than a diet. It's important to know how your body burns fat by using fat. Fat gives you satiety, fat burns fat and fat doesn't raise insulin levels as carbs do. If insulin doesn't rise, then your food is not stored in fat cells.

About 73% of my calories (1250) is from FAT. My protein intake: 22% and CARBS: 5%. I never go over 20g of carbs per day. Learn more about the Ketogenic diet that is life saving for more and more people.

Ingredients

    Crust (3 ingredients) :
    - 2 eggs.
    - 2 cups of shredded/grated UNCOOKED cauliflower (210g).
    - 2 cups of shredded cheese of your choice (183g).
    - Optional: Origano powder and black pepper.
    * DO NOT SALT as the cheese is already salted.

    Cooking crust:
    1) In a med bowl, mix: eggs, cauliflower and cheese (and seasoning if desired but no salt).
    2) In a big pan, ON PARCHMENT PAPER, spread the "dough" evenly making a really thin crust with the palm of your hand.
Do not grease the parchment paper.
    3) Bake in oven on the middle rack at 450F for 15-17 min OR until golden brown.
    4) Let it cool if desired...until you make the sauce. Once cooled, flip it if you want but not necessary. I flipped mine so as the parchment paper.

    Sauce:
On medium heat, use a small sauce pan.
    - Heat 2 tbsp of Coconut oil (I used 1 tbsp of lard and 1 tbsp of coconut oil; I calculated both oils as coc oil) and add in:
    - 1 garlic clove (2g) cut thinly and 10g of thinly sliced onions. After 3-4 min, add in a:
    - 1 fresh tomatoe (87g) cut in small cubes.
Add salt and pepper to taste; simmer for about 5-10 min.
Remove from heat and add in fresh origano and basil leaves if desired.

    Topping:
    - Ham "Kirkland" 139 g.
    - 1 cup of shredded cheese (92g)
(Next time, I'll put Feta cheese).
    - 88g sliced onions.

Bake back the pan at 450F. It'll only take a couple of minutes for the cheese to brown so stand next to the oven. Your kitchen will smell wonderful :)

    Enjoy! Bon appétit les amis!

Tips

Note: Don't brake your head with the details. I used half an onion which on the scale was 98g. 10g went into the sauce and the rest as topping on my pizza. If you want to use more onions in the sauce, go ahead. Just don't forget to count the CARBS.
