Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1c. whole wheat macaroni
    1c. whole grain bread crumbs
    1.5c. skim milk
    6 egg whites
    .5 cup chopped onion
    1.5c. lowfat grated cheese
    .5t. salt
    pinch cayenne
    2T. mixed fresh or 1T. dry herbs

Directions

Cook noodles - set aside

Soak bread crumbs in hot milk until soft.. Stir in eggs, onion, cheese and seasonings.

Pan spray a 1.5 qt. casserole and put macaroni in. Pour other mixture over top evenly - don't stir.. Set in pan of hot water and bake at 325F for 1 hour or until custard is firm.
