Introduction
While this is technically "baby food", don't discount its benefits in baking! It adds a rich moisture to any chocolate treat without the fat! Whether you use the cooking liquid as juice or as a cooking ingredient (try making oatmeal with it!), do not throw it out: much of the Iron and Vitamin C that prunes are known for are in the juice too. Ingredients

14 dried prunes
2 1/2 cups boiling water
Directions
Place prunes in a bowl and cover with boiling water.
Cover bowl with plastic and let stand 2 hours.
Strain (reserving liquid) and transfer to a food processor.
Puree, adding soaking liquid as necessary to achieve desired consistency (aim for an "apple butter" like puree for baking, if using for infants dilute as needed).
Store in the fridge or portion into 1/4 cup servings and freeze.
