Ingredients

    28 oz. Italian style diced tomatoes
    6 oz. tomato paste
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 cups beef broth
    1 tbsp. dried parsley
    1 tbsp. dried basil
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 cup V8 juice
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 cups uncooked shell pasta
    1 cup water

Tips

Keep a check on the pasta and don't overcook it.
It should be done but firm, not limp.


Directions

In a large slow cooker, combine all the ingredients except the pasta shells and water. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
30 minutes before soup is done, add the water and pasta. Stir. Cover and continue cooking for 30 more minutes or until pasta is done.

Serving Size: Makes about 12 servings 1 cup each
