Introduction

Canadian Bacon lightens this dish and still provides that bacony taste. I used three whole eggs, but feel free to use egg substitute to save even more calories. Ingredients

    One refrigerated pie crust
    1 lb of leeks, washed and sautéed in pam until soft and translucent
    6 slices of canadian bacon chopped and browned in pam
    three eggs
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    1/4 cup italian five cheese shredded mix
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 TBSP of dried thyme

Directions

Mix together the leeks, Canadian bacon.

Mix together eggs, heavy cream, thyme, salt and pepper.

Use a quiche or tart pan with a removable bottom and line it with the pie dough. Bake it in a preheated 375F oven for 8 minutes after making holes in the dough with a tines of a fork.

Remove from oven and spread leek and canadian bacon mixture evenly over the dough.

Pour egg mixture over it all.

Sprinkle the cheese and bake in a 350F preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
