Introduction

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    3 lbs. ground turkey
    3 tbsp. extra virgin coconut oil
    2 lg. cans (28 oz.) organic diced tomatoes with liquid
    1 lg. can (29 oz.) organic tomato sauce
    1 can (15 oz.) organic kidney beans with liquid
    1 can (15 oz.) organic black beans with liquid
    2 medium yellow onions, chopped
    2 poblano peppers, seeds removed and chopped small
    1 red chili pepper, seeds removed and chopped small
    50 grams (almost whole jar) chili powder
    1 tbsp. ground cumin

Tips

Wear gloves or a plastic bag over your hands while removing the seeds from the peppers. While removing seeds, don't inhale directly over the peppers.


Directions

In a large pot, cook the ground turkey in the coconut oil. (about 15 minutes) Don't drain. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce to low heat and simmer on top of the stove, uncovered for 3 hours. Stir occasionally.
