Ingredients

    Butter, unsalted, .5 cup
    Flour, white, 1.75 cup
    Granulated Sugar, .5 cup
    Chuncky Applesauce, 1.25 cup
    Eggs 2
    Vanilla 1 tsp
    Cinnamon, ground, 1.5 tsp
    Nutmeg, ground, .25 tsp
    Baking Soda, .5 tsp
    Baking Powder, 1.5 tsp
    Ground Flax Seed Meal, 5 tbsp

Tips

1/4 c of chopped nuts can be added to the topping
1/2 c raisins can be added to the cake


Directions

Add 3/4 cup flour and sugar to a bowl, cut in the butter. remove 1/2 cup and set aside for topping.
Add remaining flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking flour and ground flax stir together. Add 2 beaten eggs, vanilla and applesauce stir till mixed. Spray a 9 X 9 inch pan, pour in batter. IN the crum mixture add the remaining cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg stir. Spread evenly over the cake. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 min.
