Introduction

So these are kind of like the ones you get in a box as a souvenir when you go to Hawaii (or, if you're like me, at the grocery store, since I've never been to Hawaii!) One major difference, they have NO added sugar, and less than one carb per serving. Enjoy! Ingredients

    1/2 cup whole macadamia nuts
    3 tbsp cocoa/cacao powder
    1/2 tsp (2g) stevia powder*
    1 tsp boiling water

*You can vary the amount of stevia depending on how much sweetness you like.

Tips

When consuming these, be aware, even though they are low carb, they are very full of (delicious) fat and calories!

Directions

Stir together the cocoa powder and stevia powder in a small mixing bowl with steep sides.

The mixture will be very thick and hard to stir at first. Add the teaspoon of hot water a little trickle at a time while stirring until the mixture becomes like a smooth, thick chocolate sauce. The sauce won't work if it's runny, so make sure you don't add too much water.

Drop macadamia nuts into the sauce a few at a time and stir them around in the sauce until all the nuts are coated with chocolate.

Place coated nuts about 1 inch apart on parchment paper on a tray or flat plate, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Once the chocolate has solidified, peel candies off of the parchment paper and store in a ziploc bag in the fridge.

Serving Size: Makes about 3 1-ounce servings (about 10-12 nuts each)
