Ingredients

    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 tablespoon oil
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 T. garlic, minced
1 cabbage, chopped (filling two 8-cup measuring bowls)
32 oz. pasta sauce (usually 2 jars, any flavoring)
2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
    1/2 cup water (optional)
    2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt (to taste, I find the pasta sauce adds lots of flavoring and salt)

Directions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the ground beef to skillet, stirring to separate ground beef and it is no longer pink.
Add onion and cook until tender.
Add the garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute.
Add the chopped cabbage, pasta sauce, tomato sauce, pepper and salt. Bring to a simmer.
Cover and continue simmering for 20 to 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
