Introduction

This is how my grandfather made syrup. This is how my grandfather made syrup.

Ingredients

    1 cup water
    2 cups sugar
    1/2 teaspoon maple extract

Tips

Can serve warm, but be sure to cool completely in pan before putting into a bottle and refrigerating or crystals will form.

1/4 cup = 2 ounces


Directions

1. Bring water to a rolling boil.
2. Remove water from heat and add in sugar. Stir until completely melted.
3. Add maple extract and stir.

Serving Size: Makes 8 (1/4 cup) servings
