Introduction

This is SO EASY & quick to make, since I'm the only person in the house that eats chili, I can whip this up for me & have several servings of chili any time I feel like. Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground turkey
    1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
1 - 15 oz can dark red kidney beans (I look for low sodium)
1 - 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (I found Mexican style)
    1 - 10 oz can Ro*Tel original diced tomatoes & green chilies
1- 8 oz can of Hunts NO SODIUM tomato sauce
    1/2 cup water
1 pkge of chili seasoning mix OR add your own seasonings (cumin, chili powder, black pepper, crushed red peppers, & any other seasonings you like in your chili)

(DO NOT drain any of the canned ingredients listed, add entire can + juice to recipe)

Tips

This is pretty spicy. You can switch out any canned food you want. I may even do away with the Mexican style tomatoes & add another can of tomato sauce. It was pretty runny soup.

Directions

Cook turkey & onion in large skillet until turkey is no longer pink, stirring & shopping meat as it cooks. Drain IF necessary. Stir in seasonings then all the canned beans, tomatoes, sauce & water. Reduce heat to medium low & simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently to make sure it's not sticking to bottom of pan.
