Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1.25lbs lean ground turkey
1 15-oz can corn, drained and rinsed
2 15-0z cans diced tomatoes, no salt added
1 28-oz cans Van Camps Pork & Beans
1 28-oz can Maple Cured Bacon Baked Beans
1 28oz jars of homemade canned bean mix (pinto, black, navy, and kidney with no salt) (If you don't can your own beans, you can do two cans of kidney from the store) - Not drained!
6 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
Thyme, Paprika, and Chili powder to taste

Tips

I can my own beans which reduces the sodium from what is shown on this recipe. It's an easy process and extremely inexpensive once you have made the investment in the pressure canner. I usually make up 2 crockpots worth of this chili and then can what does not get eaten for easy meals on other nights.

Directions

Cook the turkey with 2-3 cloves of garlic. Drain and put into 6qt slow cooker. Add the rest of the ingredients, only draining the corn. Add thyme, paprika, and chili powder to taste. Set to cook for 6hrs on low to let the flavors blend together. Check about half way through to adjust seasoning.
