*Lentils red split lentils - dry measure, 1.5 cup
*Pompeian Gourmet Red Wine Vinegar, 4 tbsp
winco spicy brown mustard, 6 tsp
*Oil-Crisco Pure Canola Oil (1 tbsp), 8 serving
    *Fruit: currant, dried (1/4 c)
*Onion - Dried, Minced, McCormick, 3 tbsp
*To your tastes, add the following spices: parlsey, tumeric, salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, mace, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, cayenne and cinnamon. I used 1/8 tsp of each, a bit more cumin and nutmeg. It is spicy, and if you remove the cayenne that will help.

Tips

start with a smaller amount of the spices, as its always easier to add than to take away.

Directions

Bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Add lentils and return to a boil, for 2 minutes. Turn off and let sit for 5 mins. Strain under cold water. Pour into a large bowl and add currants, dried onion and spices. In a blender combine the mustard, vinegar and oil. pour into lentils and let sit in fridge for about an hour.
