Introduction

My favorite way of cooking this soup/stew. My favorite way of cooking this soup/stew.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 pound of turkey
    1 onion
    1/2 green pepper
    3 T Greek Seasoning
    2 T Worcestershire sauce
    2 Bay leaves
    1T Paprika
    1 can fire roasted tomato
    1 can no salt stewed tomatoes
    1 head cabbage chopped
    2 cups Sour Kraut
    3/4 c dry brown rice
    6 to 8 cups water

Tips

If you would like it more like a soup add more water and tomato paste. Leave out the turkey.. and your vegetarian.


Directions

Brown turkey, onion and pepper, drain. Put all ingredients in a large 6 quart pot bring to a boil. I usually put the meat and rice in first. Turn down and cover let cook for an hour. Longer if you like.

    A half of head of cabbage is probably plenty. Add a whole head of cabbage and add more water.. you can get many more servings with fewer calories . - 9/18/16
