Ingredients

Onion- 2-3 medium sweet (Vidalia) Onions diced fine chop
    Stewed Tomatoes- 2 14.5oz cans
    Butter salted- 2 Tbsp
Hot Pepper (Banana) 2- medium sized sliced
    Paprika (Hungarian) 1.5 Tbsp
White Long Grain Rice 1/2 Cup (uncooked)
    Salt as required lightly

Tips

Serve with Belgrade's Cole Slaw and Chicken also posted on Sparkpeople. Enjoy. Note Barberton, Oh chicken houses who's recipes originated in Serbia are all very similar. For a twist add one packet of splenda while simmering for a slightly sweet sauce.

Directions

Dice onions and peppers (fine bladed mandolin if available). Remove pepper seeds before dicing for milder sauce, or leave seeds in for more heat. Place in a 5 qrt. pan(cast iron preferred) and simmer over medium heat until slighty browned, add Paprika. Drain stewed tomato juice into the pan and using a food processor pulse tomatoes to a light chop. Add Tomatoes to pan along with uncooked rice, cover and cook over low to medium heat for 45minutes.
