Introduction

My son loves these. Inspired by http://tastykitchen.com/blog/2011/09/homem

Ingredients

    1/2 C all purpose flour
    1/2 C wheat flour
4 T butter, cut into small pieces
8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
    3/4 t salt
    4 T cold water

Tips

I had to double the water so they were moist enough to roll out. I used half whole wheat flour and half all purpose flour. I tried all whole wheat flour and there was a bitter taste, as a result.

Directions

Pulse flour, butter cheese, and salt together in the food processor until it resembles course sand. Pulse in water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Remove, wrap in plastic, and chill for 20 minutes.

Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes. You can use a toothpick to make the eyes and smile, if desired.

Place on lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350* for about 15 minutes, or until crispy.
