Introduction

This is a veggie sauce; kind of a cross between a spaghetti sauce and a marinara. This is a veggie sauce; kind of a cross between a spaghetti sauce and a marinara.

Ingredients

    2 cans Hunt's diced tomatoes
    3 cans Hunt's tomato sauce
    1/2 cup diced onion
    2 portabella mushroom caps, diced (the large ones)-gills removed
    2 zucchinis diced
    desired herbs: I used: Italian blend, fenugreek, garlic salt, garlic powder

Tips

HIGHLY recommend using the crockpot liner by Ziploc (or whatever brand you buy). Saves TONS of time during cleanup.


Directions

1. Open and dump in all the cans of diced tomatoes and tomato sauce into the crockpot.
2. Add in diced onions, diced mushroom caps, diced zucchinis.
3. Add in seasonings of choice. Turn crockpot to low. Cook and adjust seasoning as desire.
