Introduction

This is not a reduced calorie recipe obviously, it's mashed potatoes just like my mom used to make. Definitely something you want to watch portion size on. Ingredients

5 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Potato, raw
12 oz Great Value evaporated milk, 12 oz can
4 serving Great Value Sweet Cream Butter salted 1 Tbs per serving
    1 cup Dairy, Milk - Whole - 1 cup

Tips

Easily adapted to a lower fat version. I prefer to make the original recipe and have super small portion sizes ;) Cheers, hope you enjoy.

Directions

Peel and dice potatoes into 2" chunks. Place in cold water, covering diced potatoes in a heavy large pot. Bring to boil and boil until potatoes are easily pierced with a fork, about ten minutes. Drain water and return to pot with half stick of butter (4 Tbs). May salt and pepper at this point if you desire. Slowly add in entire can of evaporated milk while whipping the potatoes to a very smooth consistency with electric beaters. May add up to another cup of milk until the potatoes are at your desired thickness/smoothness. Taste/ add more salt and pepper to your liking. These potatoes should be beaten until entirely free of lumps and silky smooth texture.

Serving Size: Easily serves 6 with leftovers.
