1 tbsp Cumin - Ground, McCormick (1 tbsp)
    1 tbsp. Oregano (dry)

Tips

I use tomato sauce and diced tomatoes that I have canned. These add a flavor that is hard to beat.
I also use "store bought" tomato sauce when necessary
No matter which you use, this is a delicious, filling dinner. I serve mine with cornbread or muffins.

Directions

Brown ground beef until all pink is gone. Add chopped onions and bell peppers, cook until the veggies start to become soft.
Drain and rinse all of the beans.
Place the tomatoes and tomato sauce into large kettle.
Add beans and ground beef with onions and bell peppers.
Simmer until all ingredients are hot
Add chili powder, cumin and oregano, garlic powder & onion powder.
Stir well and simmer for another 20 minutes.
Serve topped with grated cheddar/jack cheese and chives or sliced green onions if you have them.
