Introduction

This quick recipe is one of my favorites to prepare when my young nieces visit. This quick recipe is one of my favorites to prepare when my young nieces visit.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 15 1/4 ounce can crushed pineapple (juice packed)
    1 1/3 cups of orange juice
    4 teaspoons brown sugar
    Dash ground allspice
    1 1/3 cups of quick-cooking rice

Directions

In a medium saucepan stir together the undrained pineapple, orange juice, brown sugar, and ground allspice. Bring to boiling. Remove from heat; stir in rice. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Transfer to serving bowls. Sprinkle with additional allspice, if desired. Makes 4 servings
