Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

1 box devil’s food cake mix (be sure and check the calories on your box of cake. The calories may be different depending on what cake mix you use)
1 can solid pack pumpkin (15 oz.)

Directions

Directions:
Mix the two ingredients together. Don't add anything else that may be mentioned on the box, such as eggs, oil, or water. The mixture will be very thick and you will be tempted to add in other things to make the batter smoother. DO NOT DO THIS AS IT WILL RUIN EVERYTHING! Place batter into muffin tins (or mini muffin tins) lined with paper, or sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 12 regular or 36 mini muffins.

Makes tasty brownie muffins - or just bake in a 13x9 pan and make brownies. Very moist and satisfying.

I first was acquainted with this recipe years ago in a WW meeting, but when I fell off the diet wagon, the recipe blew away in the wind!

    Incredible!
Excellent! Super moist and you can't taste the pumpkin at all. - 8/10/11

    Incredible!
Like Kasper, the box I used had almost double the calories. Still very yummy. They make very big muffins, I think it's feasible to make them smaller and have the recipe make 24 rather than 12. I also used a food processor to mix the batter since it was so thick. Very good, will definitely make again - 5/12/10

    Very Good
These got a big "thumbs up" from my husband and son (I'm not a pumpkin fan, but I actually rather liked these, too). The grocery store didn't have canned pumpkin "straight up", so we used pumpkin pie mix, which probably skewed the calorie count a bit. - 5/31/09

    Very Good
Tasted better than I expected! They are very good and filling as well. The tops turn out looking a little funny, but I would definitely make again. - 8/8/08
