Introduction
Making homemade peanut butter was fun for my daughter and I and is a healthy alternative to peanut butter with sugar and preservatives. Most measurements indicate a tablespoon as the serving size. I limit myself to a tsp so I can enjoy it more often and it doesn't throw my whole day off. Ingredients
-
Dry Roasted Peanuts (Unsalted), 12 Dry Roasted Cashews, 8 oz
Honey, 2 tbsp
Directions
Pour all of the nuts into a food processor. Turn the processor on and let it run until the peanuts are completely ground and begin to stick together. Add honey and continue blending until you reach the desired consistency of smooth peanut butter. If you want a crunchy type peanut butter - keep about a half cup of nuts out of the mixture. Once it reaches peanut butter consistency, toss in the held out nuts. Continue to process for another 30 - 60 seconds until these nuts are chopped.
