Introduction

Since I really like the flavor of yellow rice with a white rice base, but love the nutritional value of brown rice, I decided to use both.
I always make alot, you can freeze it for future use if it is too much or just cut the receipt in half. Makes enough for 6 1 cup servings.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

1 cup Brown Rice, long grain
1 cup White Rice, long grain, cooked
1 tbsp ground Tumeric (by LESLIEB33) - use only if making yellow rice
1 tbsp 365 Organic Canola Oil (by EKALEEGUS)
    5 cup Water (filtered)

Tips

Using raw tumeric root works the best :)

Directions

Soak the brown rice in 3 cups of water - for at least 30 minutes (I set the brown rice out in the morning before I go to work in the pot I will cook the rice in)

Bring the brown rice to a boil and boil vigorously for 15 minutes then add the additional two cups of water the canola oil, tumeric & salt (in the reciept I said 1 Tbsp ground tumeric but I actually use raw tumeric root chopped up fine - 1 full root)

Bring back to a boil then add the white rice, cover and lower temp to LOW and let simmer for 20 minutes.

Enjoy!
