Introduction

This recipe is the result of lots of experimentation. I wanted to enjoy iced lattes without all the added sugar or fake sugar. I use almond milk because it add a lot of texture and flavor and is very low-cal. I originally used coconut milk which taste good, but wasn't as creamy and tended to dilute the coffee flavor. I like this even better now than the ones I used to drink! This recipe is the result of lots of experimentation. I wanted to enjoy iced lattes without all the added sugar or fake sugar. Ingredients

3/4 c cold brewed coffee. You can make this yourself and chill it. I buy Starbucks' cold brewed, unsweetened coffee by the jug from the grocery store (usually near the OJ)
3/4 c Almond Breeze Almond Milk, Unsweetened
    half banana
1/4 tsp Almond Extract - try vanilla, orange, licorice - whatever you prefer!)
    1/4 c crushed ice

Tips

You can add a date for additional sweetness. I find they don't blend very well so eventually just omitted them.

Directions

Pour coffee and almond milk into blender or food processor. Add half banana, 1/4 tsp of almond extract and crushed ice. Blend for 30-60 seconds. It will be creamy and frothy. Enjoy!
