Ingredients

    2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    5 clove Garlic
    8 oz Shrimp, raw
    3 serving Clams Maine Whole Trader Joes 8 clams
    .75 serving Red Pepper Bell 1 large
    1 cup clam juice 1 cup
    1 tsp Oregano, ground
    1 tbsp Basil
    1 tsp Thyme, ground

Tips

Garnish with black pepper, grated parm, romano, or asiago cheese, and fresh Italian parsley. (add nutrition info for any cheese you use).


Directions

Heat EVOO in pan until hot.
Chop garlic, onions, and red pepper.
Saute garlic and onions until soft (about 3 minutes).
Add chopped red pepper and cook about 2 minutes more.
Add dried herbs, stir well.
Add 3 cans of Whole Maine Cherrystone Clams (Trader Joe's) with juice. Cook on medium heat until it starts to bubble (about 5 - 8 minutes).
Salt to taste (little to no salt is needed as the clams and juice contain a lot of sodium).
Add cleaned, raw shrimp and bring heat to med-high for about 2 minutes.
Lower heat to low, cover for another minute or so until shrimp is pink.
Remove from heat, cover and let sit for another 1 - 3 minutes.

Garnish with fresh ground pepper, grated cheese, and fresh Italian parsley as desired.
