Introduction
This makes a huge batch of large patties that can be frozen. You can put one in a bun like a burger but I like them with a little hot sauce or bbq sauce on their own. Ingredients
-
12 cup Beans, black
3 cup, chopped Onions, raw
40 gram(s) bell pepper, red, sweet, raw
1 serving 1 Med. Green Bell Pepper
4 medium Egg, fresh, whole, raw
4 serving Egg white, large
2.5 cup Quaker Oats - Quick 1 Minute - Dry
3 tsp Garlic powder
3 tbsp Clubhouse La Grille Montreal Steak Spice (1 tbsp) (by AIMEE131)
2 tbsp worstershire sauce (by FOURMULA)
2 tbsp Chili powder
4 tsp Cajun Seasoning (by MELISSA_X0)
Tips
Use any spices you prefer. This is just the combination I like. Also, any other veggies can be chopped fine and added. Mushrooms are a good addition too.
Directions
I used a 900 gram pkg of dry beans. Soaked them overnight with some garlic powder and chili powder in the water and then cooked them until soft enough to blend. They were blended with some of the cooking water to puree.
Mix in the rest of the ingredients and using a scoop, arrange in patties on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. I fit 5 patties on my smaller cookie sheets and 6 on my large one. Bake for 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven. This bakes them enough for the freezer, add 15 minutes if serving immediately. If going into the freezer, cool on the pan before putting in individual ziplock bags and freezing.
