Ingredients

    2 medium Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    1 tsp Ginger, ground
    0.50 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1 cup Molasses
    5.50 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
    16 tbsp Shortening, Crisco
    .50 cup Granulated Sugar
    .50 cup, packed Brown Sugar
    3 tsp Baking Soda
    .75 tsp Morton Salt

Tips

This is a good recipe for cutting out cookie cutter shapes ~but note REFRIGERATION ~CHILLING REQUIRES 4 HOURS!


Directions

1. Mix all ingredients in large bowl.
2.Cover bowl with cloth and refrigerate for 4 hours.
3. Roll out dough on floured surface with floured rolling pin .
4.Cut out shapes with cookie cutters or glass cup,
5.Bake @ 350 degrees Farenheit for 15 min. or dough has risen enough to be a little MORE than soft.
6.Set out for 1 min.
7.Remove to wired racks to cool.
8.SPRINKLE SUGAR , if desired,but remember to ADD THOSE CALORIES to each cookie if this is done!

Serving Size: Makes 78 2 1/2 IN. CIRCULAR CUT OUT COOKIES.
