Introduction

This is a light sauce perfect to put over pasta--not as heavy or rich as traditional spaghetti or meat sauce. Great for summer--it will fill you up but not make you feel "stuffed"! Watch the sodium if you need to, though. Might be a little high. This is a light sauce perfect to put over pasta--not as heavy or rich as traditional spaghetti or meat sauce. Ingredients

*3 tbsp McCormick Basil & Garlic Seasoning Blend
    *8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
    *1 tbsp canola oil
*1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained.

Directions

Heat 1 tbsp oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, cook and stir for 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, undrained, and seasoning blend. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Serve over pasta of your choice (I love it over cheese tortellini!)

I think the next time I make this recipe I'll use 28 oz of tomatoes and a few more mushrooms....I think it will still be flavorful and a little more healthy.
