Introduction

This is a good bread machine recipe to try when shifting into making whole wheat bread. So far, I have replaced 1 cup of white flour with whole wheat and am getting used to it before coming up with another recipe. Ingredients

    1 2/3 cup Water
    1/2 cup Nonfat Dry Milk
    2 tsp Salt
    1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
    3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
    3 1/3 cup Bread Flour
    1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 tsp Instant Yeast ( I use just a little bit under)

Directions

Warm water. Put ingredients in bread machine in the order below. I use the white bread with light crust setting. If using delay, make sure the yeast doesn't touch anything but the flour. I am at an elevation of 3600 feet and this works great in my machine.
When done, immediately take it out and put on a counter to cool. I cover it to keep it moist. We like bread moist and not crusty. If not able to eat it all in a couple of days freeze it.
