Introduction

I have made this for my family for years. I altered some things to make it a healthier version. They love it and honestly don't know I changed anything. Gone is the heavy cream, butter and Vitamin D milk. Add lib as you like (we don't do onions due to my husband's diabetes- but it's good) Hope you like it! I have made this for my family for years. Ingredients

16 oz 80% browned ground beef (by CERRATT)
1 cup Low Fat Cream of Mushroom Soup
4 serving fresh mushrooms, sliced (0.25 cup)
    1 cup Milk, 1%
5 tbsp Daisy Light Sour Cream
    1 clove Garlic
    2 dash Salt
0.25 tsp Ground Red Pepper (by --SHELLEY--)
4 cup Noodles, egg, cooked, unenriched, without added salt

Tips

There are several variations. You can put a breadcrumb and parmesan crumble on the top. Spray with butter flavored Pam and brown to give it a crispy top. Add different veggies for added flavor. We like peas and broccoli in it sometimes.

Directions

1) Brown ground beef and drain - try not to rinse if possible, the juice is where some of the flavor come from.
2) Add all other ingredients to the pan of drained beef, heat thoroughly,
3) While heating the mixture, boil un-enriched egg noodles until dente, drain.
4) Slowly pour the mixture over the egg noodles and stir together. OR you can spoon it over your noodles like marinara sauce if you prefer.

I have also substituted brown long grain white rice for the egg noodles.
