Ingredients
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 stick European butter, melted
1 large or extra large egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark works too)
2-3 tbsp Ghirardelli white chocolate chips (butterscotch or peanut butter works too!)
1/4 cup pecan chips (optional, walnuts or cashews or any nut works)
Tips
To make mine taste like salted caramel chocolate, I topped them with turbinado sugar and a dash of freshly ground sea salt upon removing them from the oven.
Use chocolate chips & peanut butter chips for chocolate peanut butter blondies or substitute M&Ms for the chocolate chips and nuts for a fun twist.
Use cinnamon chips and caramel chips for cinnamon caramel blondies.
Add any nuts or baking chips you like, even coconut can be added to these to make them unique.
Cream cheese frosting would be great as a topping.
