300 gram(s) Sainsbury's Wholemeal Bread Flour (by WILDESTROSE)
300 grams Buttermilk, lowfat
0.4 tbsp Bicarbonate of Soda (by LIZZY63)
1 tsp Baking Soda
3 grams Salt
1 tbsp *Flax Seed Meal (ground flax)
10 grams Sunflower Seeds, without salt
30 grams Sesame Seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
25 grams Raisins
50 grams Dates
1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
25 gram(s) Mazola Pure Rapeseed Oil (ml) (by SHTEFFEH)
20 gram(s) Lyle's Black Treacle (by BLUEBELL21)
Tips
Can be made leaving out the fruit, and still tastes fabulous !!
Directions
Deseed chop in half and soak dates overnigh in water. Drain before use.
In a 2-3 litre bowl, mix all dry ingredients
Mix all wet ingredients in a suitable size jug and whisk or blend together.
Pour wet mixture into the dry, and combine using handle of a wooden spoon until well mixed to form a wet sticky dough, too wet to handle,
Pour / scrape mixture into a pre greased 9"X5" or a 7"dia baking tin
Cook in a preheated oven at 200 deg C for 45 minutes.
Fabulous served with a mature vintage cheese!
