Ingredients

1 lb turkey, ground
1 tblsp Salt
1/2 tsp Thyme
3/4 tsp Black Pepper
3/4 tsp Red Pepper , flakes
1 tsp sage
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
Directions
Take one pound of ground turkey, then break it up into a very fine grade with a wooden spoon, then add the spices. Mix and roll into 12 balls. Place on cookie sheet, flatten if desired and bake 350 for 30 to 45 minutes until brown.

I cooked them in a skillet on medium heat instead of in the oven and they turned out great. Next time I am going to cut the salt in half though (it was a bit salty for my taste). I might even try scrambling it with eggs and potatoes. - 6/19/08

Thanks for the comment. I don't use salt so I didn't add any but looking back that does seem like a lot of salt. I keep mine in the freezer and just take them out as I need one or two. I break two up and mix with 2 eggs, some milk, 1/8 c cheese, and fine diced yellow summer squash for a omelet.

I made 6 "patties" instead of the 12 smaller ones to use when I make my homemade substitute for "McDonalds Sausage Egg & Cheese McMuffin." And I used 1 tsp of salt instead of 1 tbs. This is a great alternative to the drive thru! Thank you so much!!! - 1/25/09

I agree, the salt probably should be 1 teaspoon instead of a tablespoon!
