Introduction

Slow Cooker beans and ham. Make some cornbread to go with it, folks! Slow Cooker beans and ham. Make some cornbread to go with it, folks!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

One 16 oz bag Cranberry Beans
    8 cups water
about 12 oz of Ham, spiral cut (the leftover end of the spiral ham from Xmas works great!)
    1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
    Ground black pepper

Tips

I always serve this with corn bread. It is great with some chopped onions on top for a garnish, or homemade zucchini relish or chow-chow.

Directions

Soak beans in 8 cups of water over night. If you can't soak them over night, rinse them for 10 minutes in hot water.
Drain and rinse beans and place in a slow cooker. Add 8 cups of fresh water.
Chop ham into chunks and add to slow cooker with 1/4 tsp salt and black pepper to taste.
Cover and cook on low 8 hours.
