Very simple and tasty dish. Can be eaten with chapatti or as a side dish. Very simple and tasty dish. Can be eaten with chapatti or as a side dish.
Number of Servings: 6


    2 c. chopped okra
    1 c. onions chopped
    1 c. chopped tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. water
    3/4 stir fry beef
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp ground coriander
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp turmeric


Chop the onions and tomatoes. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions. Add the beef and brown. Add tomatoes, salt and spices. Mix well and cook on med low heat about 5 minutes. Add the water and okra. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until okra is cooked and most of the water has evaporated. Let stand about 5 minutes before serving.

Eat with fresh chapatti or as a side dish. Serves 6.
