Introduction

I was looking for a veggie alternative to use on my wraps. I was looking for a veggie alternative to use on my wraps.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 Low carb wrap
1 oz Reduce Fat Mozzarella Shredded cheese
    1 cup sliced Portabella Mushrooms
1/4 cup salad greens (I used iceberg salad mix)
    1 oz Marsala wine
1 Tbsp of margarine ( I used Country Crock churn style)

** Margarine is optional....you can also use cooking spray to reduce the amount of fat in the recipe.

Directions

Makes 1 serving

Saute mushrooms and margarine in a small skillet until mushrooms are done.

Add in the marsala wine and simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed.

Remove pan from heat and add the cheese over mushroom.

While allowing cheese to melt....warm up the wrap (if desired) add the salad mix to the wrap and then top with the mushrooms. Fold wrap and enjoy.

Wow! I just made this and its fantastic! I added a couple slices of red onion, and a few pieces of lean pre-cooked chicken breast that I added during the marsala wine phase. (I know its a veggie meal, but I was craving some chicken) This was great and I'll make many more times. Thanks! - 3/11/09

These are fantastic! Makes a great quick lunch and the flavor is awsome for so few ingredients. I used a low carb garlic and herb wrap to give a little more kick. Not that the original recipe needs it! - 1/12/10
