Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    4 medium onions
    1.3 lbs stew meat (beef)
    1T all-purpose flour
    15 oz fresh mushrooms
    1 tsp salt
    0.25 tsp marjoram
    0.25 tsp thyme
    .25 tsp black pepper
    1 cup beef broth
    1.5 cup red cooking wine

Tips

Experiment with the ratio of beef to mushrooms - this particular version is mushroom-heavy and beef-light because I was using what I had on hand.

Experiment with seasoning proportions - this version is pepper-heavy because that's what my husband likes.

If you need to add some carbs to your meal, feel free to serve this over noodles.

Slice the mushrooms.

Dredge the beef in the flour.

Place onions in slow cooker.

Layer beef over onions.

Add mushrooms and seasoning.
